Diagnostic assessment: An assessment is the first step to diagnoses if the child is on the autistic spectrum or not. Diagnosis is made collaboration with specialists.
Where exactly my child is on every skill?
Skills assessment: The second step after the diagnostic assessment is a skills assessment. This is done after the child attended to BITCA’s full day program and will be during the first two weeks. By this assessment we will know exactly where the child is on every skill such as communication, self help skills, social skills, academic skills, sensorial and behavior.
What is a personal program that my child needs to improve his weak point?
IEP: An Individual Education program is written up for each child based on the finding s of the skills assessment during the two weeks.
Is my child ready to mainstreaming in nursery or school with shadow teacher ?
Placement: depending on diagnoses assessment we will decide with you if your child need to be in BITCA full/part time of day or can start mainstreaming program which will be under BITCA’s umbrella.

What is the BITCA full day program content of ?
Full day program: The full day program of (BITCA) starting from 8:30am-3:30pm, 5 days a week. It is an intensive “school” day. The program based on 1:1 education with ABA (Applied behavior analysis) Methodology and aims to cover 35 hours of the 40 hours required for children with Autism.
The following material will be included in the program:
-Pre -academic / academic skills
-Speech therapy/ PECS program
– gross motor skills – Fine motor skills
– Sensorial – Self help skills
– Group social skills training; role play (work on: imagination, imitation, turn taking, sharing)
– Activity; art, music, supermarket and cooking, video, role play.
-Social trips: horse riding, visit farm, restaurant, swimming, malls
We used Different approaches from:
ABA (Applied Behavior analysis),
TEACCH Program (Treatment and education of autistic and related communication handicapped children).
PECS (Picture exchange communication system) which allows the child to express his needs using pictures up until he is able to hold a conversation. It has been statistically proven that within 6 months of using PECS language develops.
Full day program teaches children to work within a “work system”.
What can I do with my autistic child at home?
Training / Courses: After the IEP is written up for your child, we trained parents to how to deal with their autistic child at home and we will give them Home Program to work on after training.
Also we offer special Courses for parents in Home Program/PECS program/ABA program/Social Program.
How can I know more about autism and how can I know about any new in the autism field?
BITCA is offer many services to awareness of autism especially for parents and peoples in Sudan:
Awareness Campaigns: BITCA organizes campaigns in news paper and TV to increase the awareness and understanding of Autism in the Sudan community.
Meetings/Conferences: BITCA is invited A professional in the field to introduce a new concept, research update and offer help and advice to parents Such as AIT Program, Oxygen, Gluten and casein Diet ….
